WHERE THE HOKEY POKEY "IS" WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

Café Après-Midi Part 3

Posted over 2 years ago
More Café Après-Midi for you to digest. I among millions love Brigitte Bardot. I think she's the queen bee's knees and a rockin hot babe to boot. Back then at least. Here's a tropical song from her.

  1. fistula spume says I don't know that much about Joyce. I like this song. The other song I have from this series is good but it's more adult contemporary jazz, which is something I'm not always into. That song isn't that bad though. It's just schmaltzy. I like fun vocal workouts like this song. Always a plus to me.

  2. fistula spume says When I was 16 I went through a blues phase where I bought a ton of blues albums. I think I picked up 4 Taj Mahal albums during that time. I like him a bunch. He's quite the character. I went into anaphylactic shock when I first heard this song by him. NOTHING like what I know and my antibodies were trying to fight what they thought were an imposter Taj Mahal. Shows what I know. This song is cheesy but I like it.

  4. shinsaholic says Bardot looks mighty fine in "Contempt." Unfortunately her appeal, at least to me, has dimmed some since learning of her far-right politics: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/08/07/movies/homevideo/07dvd.html?_r=1&oref=slogin

  6. poebegone says on the same wave with Hermes here, the last one got me. but the Taj Mahal one is some kind of interesting. (:

  7. fistula spume says shinsaholic: She's crazy for sure. I saw something on TV about her a few years ago about how she's a strange reclusive weirdo. I'm more into the Brigitte of the 60's. I'm not letting her affect my love of her music and bad films. If I did that I'd have to give up on listening to Cat Stevens and a whole slew of other artists. Not the music's fault. Hermes and poebegone I saved the best for last. I think on my next post I'll try to do all Brazilian. Glad you liked it.
