Last night was the last open mic here in beckley till September. It was a mildly good time, there was the crooning, the badly done acoustic versions of already bad alternative rock songs, and some dulcimer playing people. I enjoyed the dulcimers, i always have liked their sound. Anyhow, I did 2 songs, Just Stay from Kevin Devine, and July, July by The Decemberists, just for fun. Although I forgot some of the chord changes, it went ok, i suppose. I tagged the Kev Dev song if you hadn't heard it before, mostly because I didn't much feel like uploading it.
I went to a really fun after party the other night and this song was played on a playlist I had, and i got to know someone who i wish i had known for years.besides that everyone commented on how weird it was, which is a testament as to how strange my taste has grown over the years.
