i'm still here, i'm still listening to music (the 3 records i own: in the aeroplane over the sea, picaresque, and gimme fiction), but i am not making any posts because i have messed up my wrists and arms...mostly from too much computering, but also from gripping my 1994 ford tempo's steering wheel back and forth between williamsburg, fairfax, and richmond doing moving type things .one of the songs on the mixtape i play in the car now is the stills' lola stars and stripes, and i would like to use my limited typing ability to tell you that it is a really good car song . it's all right on the computer, but there's just something about it that makes me press down on the accelerator and focus on the hair flying back from my face (yes, even on the really hot days because the a/c makes my car go a maximum speed of 20mph)

  3. DerekSunshine says In my family, they call what you have 2-65 airconditioning - two windows down at 65 miles an hour. My driving jam on the way to work was Par& Labors latest - needless to say, I was not a happy camper. The last couple of days, I've been listening to Notwist's Neon Golden and I'm much more mellow. The proper musical accompanyment to driving is essential for happy motoring and general highway safety.

  5. EmergencyTrap says If you're going to have only three records, those are fantastic ones to have. The Stills are definitely good car music. I'm really digging "Baby Blues" from their new album, Without Feathers. Lola's a good tune.
