Well, South by Southwest is just around the corner in my home town. It is one crazy week too and this is the first year I've worked it that I have a real job. I'ma gonna be one tired boy. I volunteer which is how they make this thing happen. For it, I get a platinum badge which gets me into everything, or just about; film, music, interactive, parties, underpants, the works. I'm running the banners crew which puts up all the banners in the parties, music venues, theaters, etc. Makes for a good pass when there's long line. "I need to take care of the banner." Works everytime.I'm most excited to see Northern State. The ladies are finally making their way down to the south outta the big, bad City...Jam on... They play the Tap Room, Thursday night at midnight, and have another non-SXSW show some other time. Don't have a wristband and want one? If you know someone who volunteers or can get to know someone, they can get you one for the original price. Actually, every badge holder for music can buy one wristband for the original price. I think that's $130 but haven't looked in a couple years. So if you jump in the car for a road trip, just hit up a badge holder for a wristband.
