...to finding another song i remember from waywaybackwhen.
In this case, form an episode of the teevee series Ironside.
As i remember the episode, the victim was a young woman - a club singer - who allegedly committed suicide, but was in fact murdered.
But what stuck in my mind her signature song - which i just found out was by Quincy Jones and Alan & Marilyn Bergman - a sad-chantoozy-type number called Even when You Cry. (Periodically i do googles for a number of songs and/or videos i want that i haven't found yet, and occasionally i hit something.)
from the day you're born
to the day you die
you're lucky if they hear you
even when you cryI would love to get my hands on a full recording of the version used on that show - which is probably impossible.
Failing that, a decent recording by almost anyone.
One thing that encourages me is that last month i finally found a decent quality mp3 of the Cretones' song Mrs Peel online. Someday o may find either or both of Cathy Chamberlain's Rag and Roll Revue albums, or Alex Call's video for Just Another Saturday Night... (To show how hard to find that last is - neither Alex Call himself or the guy who produced the video have copies; Call said that if i find one he wouldn't mind a copy.)

Can't help you out but I do that as well. I've always got a list of stuff that I keep in the back of my mind that I go seek out every once in a while. You never know when you'll find it. Good luck!
