    yrralmallik says Stairway To Heaven Dolly Parton I have always loved this song right from the first time I heard Led Zeppelin do it and I think Dolly does the song justice as well.Now that I'm into Country these days I think it's even better than the original.Just MHO.I remember when I was listening to Zepp and my Dad said some day you will listen to Country I swore up and down never.Then in 1972 a young girl came out with Delta Dawn by the name of Tanya Tucker and I've been hooked ever since.I still like Zeppelin as well but I'm more into Country and Bluegrass Rules.Your Mog Bro.~ (;Yrral Mallik;)

    fairportfan says I like a lot of country - mostly older/indie-label stuff (it's no co-incidence that *Johnny Cash* had to go to a hardcore label to re-start his career in the 90's). But what i like even better is the cowpunk/alt.country movement - *The Beat Farmers*, *Jason & the Scorchers*, *BR-549*, *Commander Cody* (with or without the Lost Planet Airmen), *Butch Hancock* and *Jimmie Dale Gilmore* and the rest of the Lubbock/Austin crowd, and so on. One of my favourite cowpunk bands for years was *Dash Rip Rock* (I well remember the night when Bill said, "Let's be careful no-one gets hurt in the mosh pit. Of course, we're the only country band I know that *has* a mosh pit.") - whose mashup Stairway to Freebird started me off on the "Stairway to Heaven" kick.
