We were on the road for a long time last year, and when we got home in November, I found out that my wife was giving me an early Christmas present – a divorce.
Actually, that was good, because I’d been having some trouble deciding what to get her for Christmas.
So I took the money I’d been saving for her gift and bought a bottle of scotch…

  1. Peggah says Are they the band that had that song Jenny Says? If so I met them in like 8th grade, and they thought I was precious. They were also fascinated by my name. I didn't realize they released anything after that.

  2. fairportfan says I'm gonna tell Fred you said that! Jenny Says is a song that Fred wrote back ion '86, when he was drummer in *Dash Rip Rock*. It's the only song from the DRR days that he still does; it's sort of his signature tune. ("Jenny" was the GF he'd just broken up with; there's a story there...) He left DRR in '89 and put *Cowboy Mouth* together in '91; they're on their fourth bass player, but Fred, Griff and Paul have been the nucleus all that time. They've got about six or eight albums out... the first, *Mouthing Off* and the last before the signed to a major, *It Means Escape* are my favourites. When were you in 8th grade, BTW?
