Possibly the most absurd use of unrelated music in a film trailer this year.

Here's a link to a trailer for the film The Express, a film about the first black to win the Heisman Trophy.
The title caught my eye on a list of trailers on IMDB and i clicked on it to see the trailer and find out what it is.
I have absolutely no interest in the film or its subject matter, but some of the music used in the trailer tickled my sense of the absurd.
This film is set in 1957 or so.
Listen to the music that begins at about 0:30.
The Ramones? Whisky Tango Foxtrot, Interrogative
Of course, music in trailers is frequently only tangentially {if at all} related to the film - The Incredibles trailer used music from the score for the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service {though not the actual soundtrack music}, which, considering that Brad Bird originally wanted John Barry to score his film {and that the final soundtrack sounded a lot like Bond music}. sorta makes sense.
But the trailer for Meet the Robinsons features music by Cowboy Mouth (1:37 and 1:52) which i am pretty sure does not appear anywhere in the actual film. (Certainly not in the parts i watched, but i only made it through the first forty minutes or so...)

Headbanging, yes. But "Suzy Is a Headbanger" in a '50s period sports drama? Ridick.
No,. no, no - that's a Vin Diesel film.
Heh.
