i feel like a moron...just reading the list....
Got the soundtrack on vinyl and saw it in the theater. Someone missing from the credits (probably because he isn't a musical artist) along with Art Carney and Kaki Hunter is Joe Spano who played Ace in the film "Roadie" a year before his stint on "Hill Street Blues".
Can't recall if this has been on television the last ten years or so. If anyone else has seen this on the tube lately - let me know. Would be curious to see if the film still stands up after twenty-eight years.

i really want to see this...whatever it maybe
Actually, i just put the music people in; Spano, Carney and Hunter are on the IMDB page.
And, indeed, it is Roadie, starring Meat Loaf as the world's greatest roadie.
It's worth seeing just for the scene with the detergent box full of cocaine, the car chase through downtown Austin, or for Hank, Jr and Roy Orbison breaking up a bar brawl by leading an a capella singalong of The Eyes of Texas are Upon You.
Or Kaki Hunter as The World's Only Virgin Groupie (age 16)...
And wait till you see Blondie's big number.
And it's just recently available on DVD and Netflix has it.
Go, chilluns.
