LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - British progressive-rock band Yes said on Wednesday it canceled its upcoming 40th anniversary tour of North America because singer Jon Anderson has been diagnosed with acute respiratory failure.
Anderson, 63, was hospitalized last month after a severe asthma attack, and doctors have told him that he will jeopardize his health unless he rests for at least six months, according to a statement.

Yeah. But consider this (from *Wikipedia*):
There was considerable embarrassment for the *Daily Telegraph* newspaper in 1999 when it published a premature obituary for [former *Fairport Convention* fiddler Dave] Swarbrick after he was admitted to hospital with a chest infection. After many years of steadily worsening health due to emphysema, he was fortunate enough, in October 2004, to receive a double lung transplant and has now been released from hospital and he is on the road to improved health and a better quality of life after being confined to a wheelchair for some years. Since his transplant, Swarbrick's health has steadily improved. At last years Cropredy Festival [2007] he was well enough to be up on his feet fiddling away with the 1967 Fairport line up, with Chris While standing in for Sandy Denny.
Also, like *Pete Twnshend*, Swarb has (as i understand it) tinnitus and significant hearing loss.

dammit. I hope he gets well soon and can get back to doing what he does best! It's been too long since I've seen them and was looking forward to catching them again.
On a brighter note, I hadn't bought my ticket yet, so I don't have to worry about that hassle . . .
