WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

More mucking about with pictures - please help.

Posted about 1 year ago
I wanted to get my 3D pics online in a slightly more accessible/comntrollable format than Flickr, so i decided to put them on my pwn website.
So i've been wrestling with Andreas Petersik's "Stereoscope" applet, and i think i've got it *almost* whupped.
The "almost" is that Firefox is cranky about reading the page from my website, wven though it is *exactly* the same page that Firefox reads just fine off my own drive...
So far as i can see, it's working fine except for that - and that might be some peculiarity of my own installation of Firefox, i guess.
I'd appreciate it if people could take a moment to hop over to "*my stereo gallery pages*":http://electronictiger.net/stereo and look around (try a couple of different browsers if you have them and you have the time and patience) and tell me what you see...

  1. Madeline Burke says Hi! I jumped over to the Internet Explorer browser and I could see the pictures ( I liked the train!) But on Firefox, de nada, blank squares where the photos should be.I can't even begin to imagine why, but maybe it has something to do with BETA.(?)

  2. fairportfan says No, other pages using it work fine - and it's been in beta for years - since 2002, i think... Petersik has "*a list of online galleries using his applet*":http://www.stereofoto.de/sapplet/galleries.html, and, while some of the linkls are dead, there's a lot of neet stuff to look at there. And most of them work with Firefox. Is a puzzlement.

  4. fairportfan says No, that's not it - i can run the exact same page with the exact same pictures from my disk, and it runs fine. And even on line, Firefox is running the applet - it just can't find the pics... Weird.
