...that could fit perfectly in all too many music reviews. (In fact, since i started this post, i've thought of at least three reviews i might write/rewrite that could use it... ){In fact, i think i shall - with full credit - add it to "*my review*":http://electronictiger.com/reviews/state.htm of *Tom Kratman*'s ghod-awful "novel" *A State of disobedience*...}The last line from "*Eric Snider's review*":http://www.ericdsnider.com/movies/drowning-mona/ of the film "*Drowning Mona*":http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004TJJX/mikewebersweberw is:
In fact, if you pay money to see this movie, thus supporting and encouraging the people responsible for it, I will come to your house and hit you.

  1. Sturgell says harsh words. I take it Drowning Mona wasn't a good flick.

  5. fairportfan says Mostly it just seems to be the waste of a halfway decent premise - dead lady that *everybody* in her small town had reasons to want dead - and cast - Bette Midlker, Dany deVito (as the good guy), Jamie Lee Curtis and others - one a badly-paced generally unfunny film. I point out that i haven't seen it, and, given that it got a 23% rating at RottenTomatoes.com, probably won't. But, if you want to see something that inspires strong emotions, click over to "*my review*":http://electronictiger.com/reviews/state.htm that i mentioned above, and then from there to the Amazon page for the book reviewed, *A State of Disobedience*, from my brother's publisher, "*Baen Books*":http://baen.com. (A clue to the book's polarising qualities - there are just about as many 1-star Amazon reviews (several of which state they only rated it that high because you couldn't rate it lower on the Amazon system) as there are 5-star ones...

  6. Bartleby says Hits the right spot... I can't help feeling the same when you see the amount of rubbish which is being shown on our screens. To think that brilliant people with incredible projects will never get any funding because mediocrity sells better and mediocrity is the norm.

  7. Anna says hehehe Mike, this reminds me of a review that actually was on the backcover of Mark Simpson's Saint Morrissey: a painful waste of time and trees, Simon Goddard, Uncut Magazine, writer of The Smiths: Songs That Saved your Life.
