I just wanted to let everyone knot that I recently acquired the new 'Bright Eyes' album, entitled 'Cassadaga'. I personally been a fan of Conor Oberst for some time, and when he released his sister cds last year, 'Digital Ash in a Digital Urn', and 'I'm Wide Awake It's Morning', I was actually extremely impressed with what he had done. He was able to conjoin to worlds, that were slowly coming together as it was, and virtually make them one. I was really happy with both of those albums. This new one, took me by complete surprise. You can hear the influence of both albums yet a new found sense of folk, and a tinge of country if you will. Personally I don't prefer country but I feel that he did it well. I think you can tell if you have listened to him for sometime, following him he was able to grow musically very well. And I think that's something that most people, in any genere, have very hard time doing.
All in all, I actually like this album.

i also like cassadega. at first i didnt know quite what to think about it- i liked it, but i had yet to connect with it like i had with his previous releases. then i saw him preform it live and damn! hes just such an amazing lyricist.

I have heard negative feed back about it, and was really uneasy while I ventured into his new works, and of course, he proved them wrong. Anyone who has followed him, knows full well what he is capable of, and that he always seems to give us something, new, fresh, and what we want.
