that was abso-fucking-lutely amazing. first off...how did winston luck out like that to have this lovely band come play here i will never know. but who cares. it was bloody fucking amazing.
first off the noisettes were electric. the energy in the place was tangible. everyone had a smile on their face. truly enjoying great music. something that's magic to see.
then bloc party. wow. wow. wow. it was just different. so fun. they were all so young and charming. russell was blowing my mind the whole time.
i dont even know if there are words for that.
i just am still buzzed. soberly buzzed. everyone was so nice and having a great time. that's what it's all about.
just, if you ever get the chance, do not hesitate to go and see bloc live. i honestly felt like i was experiencing something i would be recounting later, you know? after missing them earlier this year (because of collapsed lungage) i was beyond grateful to see them. i needed that.

They played Winston....are you kidding? how...I went to school in VA, Buena Vista, maybe a 5 thousand population town...I think Winston is smaller...baffled. But I'm sure they were great. Wow, Winston, no way.
hey--i was actually referencing winston-salem, nc. it's still pretty random for them to stop here...well they'll be in DC sometime next week if you feel like commuting. i'd go for it.
