Alright, I'm finally back on MOG after a long absence! And vee device's new album is finally out!!
Now we just have to finsh Act 2...
And Act 3...
The new vee devce album is almost ready to be shipped off to the land of CD manufacturing. I'm excited, but also nervous as I always seems to be before major musical events.
I've done most of the arranging on the album so its success or failure could rest heavily on my shoulders. vee's songs are great and I've done my best to enhance them. Almost every instrument in our arsenal is on this album, layered in a complex tapestry of sound. You'll hear everything form banjo to B3 on this album, sometimes even at the same time! Be sure to listen for the musical allusions to obscure Russian composers and fabulous doo wop harmonies.
We still have 2 acts to go, and little bit of mixing left on the 1st one. The task is looking less daunting now, though the road to Parnassus is littered with obstacles...
For those of you who don't know, I sometimes produce a radio program on classical music for KRFC 88.9 fm in Fort Collins Colorado. I switch off hosting duties with the local symphony conductor. Over the summer, he travels so much that the show is basically mine every week.
This week will feature the music of György Ligeti. The show begins at 5:00 PM Sunday Mountain Standard Time. If you're in Ft. Collins, tune in to 88.9 fm. Outside of Ft. Collins, you can stream it here.

Dennis,
Do you have a copy of "The Planets" by Gustaf Holst? (I think that's the composer, I may be wrong)
I love those pieces...
Yes, in fact I have two recordings. I also have a copy of the orchestral score if you're interested. Holst is one of my all time favorites. I like him so much that his image graces a tee-shirt I can be seen wearing frequently.
If you like "The Planets," you should check out "A Somerset Rhapsody," "St. Paul's Suite" and "Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda."
My favorite movement of "The Planets" is "Jupiter: Bringer of Jolity." Yours?
Jupiter as well! Mars is also a winner, of course. Best 5/4 piece of music ever.
Jolity... pphhh...
