WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

This Sure Ain't "You Don't Bring Me Flowers"

Posted about 3 years ago
Well, since I'm trying to keep an open mind, I just visited the band Nora's website and listened to "I Should Have Sent Flowers." All I can say is it's certainly powerful. But music like that makes me nervous after a couple of songs.I read about Nora in Hardcore Ink magazine, in which Jessica Lynn wrote:"The Nora lineup is at its strongest ever. Chris Spliedt (editor of Crash Position fanzine) on bass, Carl Severson on vocals, Chris Ross on drums, and both Matt Hay and Matt Haick on guitars. These boys are very busy playing shows just about every weekend, working full time and getting tattooed."I welcome anyone's comments on Nora.http://www.norarockmachine.com/

  4. fairportfan says Way back in the day, when *Fred leBlanc* was in Dash Rip Rock instead of fronting "*Cowboy Mouth*":http://cowboymouth.com (click on the black cat by the lamppost), bass player *Ned "Hoakie" Hickel* was known to bust the biggest string on his bass every two or three shows. And talk about bending - *Martin Carthy* once remarked that you need really good calluses if you're going to do *above-the-nut* bends... (Makes my fingers hurt just *thinking* about it...)

  5. extraordinarypoems says I love those instructions: click on the black cat by the lamppost. It's so new agey and techno. I will definitely have to check out all the people you've mentioned because I don't know anything about them. Well, I know the name Cowboy Mouth and maybe a tune or two of theirs. But I need to find out more about Dash Rip Rock, which is a great name.
