Using Music

So I want to make a short film set to the song "I Wanna Be A Kennedy" by Chicago band Kill Hannah. I don't plan to sell or use the movie for anything other than my own personal amusement, and maybe to show to some of my friends. I just got this really strong image in my head while I was listening to the song and built a script around it. Does anyone know if I can get sued for this? Like I said, I don't want to sell it or like broadcast it or anything, I just want to make it for practice. Does anyone know what kind of liability this would open me up to?

  1. supertopsecret says If you aren't making money off of it I honestly don't believe it is going to be a problem. If someone wanted to get lay the smack down on you for it I am sure they could, but something tells me that the DRM loving lawyers will not even have a clue that you made a film. Fuck the system man!!!! YEAH

  3. Aquamonet says You can't get sued for it unless you charge people money to see it. So, yeah what everyone else said :)
