Maroon 5 @ The Troubadour

Posted over 2 years ago
So Maroon 5 performed at the awesome Troubadour in West Hollywood this past Saturday, June 2, 2007. It was a good show, not the greatest I've seen at that venue, but fun regardless. I could've done without the starstruck fangirl next to me who kept looking up at the VIP loft and taking pictures of its inhabitants during the show though. (I don't give a damn if Jessica Simpson was whispered to be there -- how disrespectful to the performer was that???) However, not all the fangirls were distracted. Big props to the ones in the front that kept the dancing going throughout the show.Anyway, the band was great but the set seemed too short. Adam, though minimal in banter, is a great performer and vocalist. I give him props for getting the crowd up and cheering. However I'd have to say James Valentine is my favorite musician of the group. Here's a taste of one of the songs they performed, from their new album It Won't Be Soon Before Long. This one is called "Little Of Your Time", which really does ask for only a little of your time as the song's only a little over two minutes long. Additional photos of mine can be found here and if you must, here's another video, this time it's of "She Will Be Loved".
