so i currently noticed that hawthorne heights was not only leaving victory records but also suing them in excess of 10 million dollars. the following is from wikipedia (when it says Brummel it is reffering to Tony Brummel AKA Tony Victory and yes he is an intimidating dude). The band alleges that Brummel used "overly-aggressive, unethical and illegal schemes and tactics"Among other claims in the lawsuit are"egregiously fraudulent accounting practices,"which alledge that Brummel and Victory refused to pay Hawthorne Heights royalties for any of the albums, for which Brummel claims that the band has yet to recoup money spent on advertising and other related expenditures and still owe the label $1 million.Other claims in the lawsuit include "copyright and trademark infringement, invasion of privacy for placing the band in a 'false light,' fraud and interference with business relations". Representatives from Victory have issued a statement that the lawsuit is without merit and Hawthorne Heights will not be released from their contract until they deliver two additional studio albums, as per their contract.thats from wikipediaall of this new lawsuit news brought back a flood of memories from my days in dayton ohio. hawthorne heights drummer Eron Bucciarelli used to be in a band called No Other Way. they were friggin awesome hardcore from the midnineties. the band also at one point included Andy Corpus who went on to join Twelve Tribes. Twelve Tribes ended up on RoadRunner Records. anyway while i was remembering the good old days my brother tipped me off that someone had posted a No Other Way myspace page. i present the link here for your listening enjoyment.http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=86905353
