The Grinderman record has got to be one of the best of the year so far. But, must pale in comparison to their live performances, as demonstrated by this footage from British tv.

I was in London, away from computer, when tix went on sale and the GAMH show in SF sold out quick. Fortunately I managed to get a ticket to the Slim's show. It's this Friday, and I simply can't wait. This isn't even nearly the best song they have and it's total fire. Thanks.

Great American Music Hall has a capacity of maybe 800, I'd guesstimate. It's a glorious venue, I've seen many shows there in the five years I've lived in Sacramento. (Yeah, I did see Roky!) Slim's is smaller (and dingier), maybe 600?
