We don't need no stinkin' new bands!

Posted over 5 years ago
I'm almost glad that I wasn't that into music until I was a little older. I say this because, for me, I have chance to discover older bands that are new to me. When I first got serious about music it was hip-hop and nothing else. Now I'm older, and there are so many things that appeal to me. I can't say that I like any new bands. I get more excited about being turned on to older bands that everyone has listened to already, and I'm not ashamed of that. Bands like Jesus and Mary Chain, Gun Club, Birthday Party, My Bloody Valentine, and even bands like the Ramones, and the Cure. Are there new bands that are any good? I haven't really found any. The new bands people talk about so much, I see as bands that nobody will be listening to for very long. Please let me know, I can try to like new music, there is just so much new stuff out there that's garbage. Sex beat drop!

  2. Tony Scalzo says Oh Man, I've been into music for 35 years. I worked in second-hand record stores. I've gone through thousands of lps and 45's also cassettes and cd's. I'm STILL finding 'new-to-me' music from the past and I like 'new-to-everyone-else' music from the present as well.
