  2. eppylover says The only one who talks about him. Sometimes you'd think so, huh. At least Pattie is the only one I could find audio files of. There are a couple of DVD's with a few other people who talk about him a lot, but my computer doesn't have facility to convert and/or upload DVD's. Other Beatles-related people (especially the Beatles themselves) are quite shy about bringing him up in conversation ~ unless they're looking to sensationalize, to cash in on the scandalous detail ~ almost always hateful innuendo, such as the book that his "friend" Peter Brown stabbed him and the other Beatle people with in 1983 ~ thus opening the door of tabloid journalism for Goldman, Guiliano, Bob Spitz, et al. Alistair Taylor and Tony Bramwell (NOT Tony Barrow) were two of the few who stuck to respectful known fact about their friend Brian. A few times over the past few years (in LiveJournal) I've tried to analyze in detail this tendency to avoid talk about Brian ~ and have concluded it's a mixture of many different reasons, very complex. In these two audio files, it bothers me that whenever Pattie starts talking about him, she seems to want to go on and on ~~ the original "Beatle girls" adored him ~~ but the interviewer always changes the subject ~~ as though talking of Eppy is boring him or something. Very frustrating. I would love to be able to sit and chat with her, just about Brian. I'll bet she could go on for hours. I know for a fact that Alistair would have been able to, but he died in 2004. :(
