Kristofferson Mesmorizing!!

October31, 2006, New York City, 7:30 PM....A tall, black clad, sliver haired, bearded figure saunters across Carnegie Hall, a weathered Martin 6-string slung across his back. If, perchance, you have no idea where or why you are here, who you are, or who this apparition is, you may just convince yourself that, this being Halloween,you are face-to-face with the grim reaper himself who is about to serenade you across the river Styx (for surely when you are departed from this earthly flesh it is straight to hell that you will be dispatched!) and forever rip you out of the clutches of the second "reign of terror" engulfing you here on this very planet in this very moment. And when this modern day Hades strikes his first chord and vocalizes his first words, you are now sure of it, thanking whoever it is who sent this brawny, sagaious chaperon to guide you through the perils of the underworld......and just as you expect to meet that other "Man In Black" who departed this earth far to soon, you hear the very distinct verses of "Me & Bobby McGee". Indeed for the next hour Kris Kristofferson will mesmorize the audience gathered to hear him and the country music lengend George Jones, although my presence is solely dictated by Kris. The man definitely grows better with age! His catalog is perhaps the most underrated in the music business, his best right up there with the likes of Dylan, Guthrie, and Young. His ability to evoke an emotion without counterfeit sentimentality is unparalleled. A true living legend, Kris is not to be missed!!
