Very cool that you're here promoting the new album (and the music sound very good--I'll be looking for it when it comes out).  My heartfelt thanks for the preview.

But, I'd like to make a similar request to Mike's.  Mr. Bishop, you were there when some very pivotal music was being made: the legendary Allman Brothers Fillmore concerts and your work with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.  You have some very important stories to tell about our musical history, and you have an excellent opportunity to document it right here.

So, tell us a story or two, both old and new.  Tell us what it was like to be working with Paul Butterfield and give us some insights into how Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes approached the music.  I think you'd turn a lot of people into greater fans if you did.

Elvin -- hope you really Mog -- do you remember playing First Ave in Minneapolis in the 80s?  And staying at the Regency Plaza Best Western (torn down this year)?  I was the outdoor maintenance kid there and used to see you guys around the hotel now and then.   You must have also made time for fishing during those trips to Minnesota.  Once, after a thunderstorm, you or somebody in the band released a minnow bucket into a giant puddle in the parking lot, so the hotel had a small fish pond for a couple of hours.
