No bears were abound in the great Georgia wilderness this weekend. I woke up to birds, lovely children with squirt guns, and a bath with Dr. Bronners all natural and environmentally friendly peppermint soap in the lake. The schnauzer had a good time too. She liked the vegetarian hotdogs and the long walks on the beach... oh and the naps in the tentmy lover and the schnauzer sophie.

    worthsparrows says somehow i've always imagined camping would be better with bears. maybe not better, but more adventurous.

    ellephont says I've been within 20 feet of a grizzly bear. Granted it was at the circus, and it was as tame as a bear can get... but somehow the thought of a bear in the wild without the red fuzzy hat, with only a thin layer of nylon for protection scares the bejeezus out of me.
