The lead singer of Deadboy and the Elphantmen, Dax Riggs, is better known for writing the sinister lyrics for his disbanded group called Acid Bath. The tunes of Deadboy are much more mellow and contemplative than those of Acid Bath. I have had the privelidge of seeing Dax perform a couple of solo acoustic sessions at a local music venue called Toys.

This is another guy from South Louisiana. He actually lives one town over from me in Carencro. I have been lucky enough to see him several times at my towns Festival International. His band isn't like most - they actually sound great live. Although he is an asshole (I've actually exchanged words with him), I respect him as a musician and will continue to attend his shows.

These guys are from a well known town that i love called New Orleans. They have been making music together for over four decades and show no sign of slowing down any time soon. New Orleans is home to some nasty ass funk and this band definately fits the mold and lives up to the Big Easy's standards.
