Now i'm still young and i've plenty of music to find but for the birds is the best album in my (small-very small) collection. I only found the frames late last year, like many, through once and i've been kicking myself-how could such a incredible band pass me by for so long, alright i am only fifteen but these guys have changed everything for me. I brought a guitar a few months back and have big ambitions that are easier to sit and dream about than go out and do.Alright back to the album, its amazing, really creative the guys have added in dogs barks and strange sounds into it. A highlight for me's gotta be headlong, Glen screaming out the last verse, it always has the hairs on my arms standing up. Another favourite of mine is disappointed, Glens vocals purposely muffled but nothing is lost by this, you hear the pain still in his quiet voice. I think if i had the time and my mum hadn't just called me for dinner i'd have ended up listing every song on the album as my favourite. I wrote to the frames earlier on this year, only colm wrote back but fuck that was enough for me the mans a genius, sent me his album and all, ok i'd better stop now or i'll be typing all night. So my advice is: Buy for the birds now, Right now !

Yeah, I like the Frames and Glen a lot, too. Have seen the Swell Season at their SF gig last year, and have ordered a ticket (nose bleed balcony section) at the Paramount in Oakland for their November show. He's a interesting and talkative live performer.
Thanks for commenting, thats my first ever post on here as you could probably tell, i have no idea where Oakland is but enjoy the show, i'm sure that won't be hard :) I'm seeing them in london-january, ah isn't he just, but his storys get irratating after you've heard them five times like the dog story on set list. But yeah have fun and take care x
