I picked up a GLS song from the 2006 SxSW torrent, and liked this particular song. I tried to see them that same year at a crappy 6th street bar at 5:00 in the afternoon - not the best time for a quiet alt-folk band...But, just getting home from an SF show and heard this song live. Tony Dekker, the singer and songwriter of the band, has this unbelievable and haunting voice.My point is, for the $12

Big fan from back in the Boston days. The record comes out 7/10 and have tix to see them at Great American Music Hall in SF. Anyone else going, or old enough to remember the band that shoulda busted out?

I heard about Hem a few years back via a CD ring, and have since purchased more of their music - they're a great mix of traditional sounds and really pretty vocals.
