...and today is no exception. This is from a posthumously released album that collects Van Zandt's earliest studio recordings. And it is just a good song for a blue Friday.UPDATE: I have replaced the Rhapsody file with the mp3.

  1. brz says Rosa- i haven't made up my mind on Rhapsody yet, so i haven't listened to the track, but even without hearing it i'm sure it's perfect for any blue day of the week. i've been listening to a lot of TVZ lately - High, Low, and In Between, The Late Great, and Flying Shoes. thanks for sharing!

  3. brz says rosa- that's service, thanks for the update. i'm listening to it right now - and liking it. everything is stellar, like all of his material i've heard, but his voice sounds a touch different. i can't say what i think is different, though. i know you said it's some of his earliest recorded work, but do you know the actual year?

  4. ecompassrosa says This is what emusic.com says about the album, In The Beginning: "This posthumously released album collects his earliest studio recordings from 1966, when his voice was young and supple, though his writing already reflected a maturity far beyond his age."
