A window had opened at radio and MTV, and while there were mediocre acts that got signed, there were gems too. Among these was UK artist Tanita Tikaram, with her debut record "Ancient Heart". It was released when she was only 19 years old, and she had a worldwide hit with the somber "Twist In My Sobriety" - an essential 80's track from 1988!
