For sure I'm going to have a couple of Split Enz posts in this journey up to 100 Essential 80's Tracks, because they were one of the best bands of that decade (I know, they got together in the 70s, but I think their best stuff was in the 80's). Their most popular song is "I Got You", which is certainly a worthy hit, but there are just so many great songs that the Finn Brothers & Co. did. One of my faves is from 1982's "Time & Tide" album, a track called "Dirty Creature". It's a real swampy, watery song, sung by Tim Finn, and he actually gets his head cut off in the video! Kinda creeped me out but I loved the video anyway. Split Enz's "Dirty Creature" - an essential 80's track!
