I promised myself never to date anyone who thought The Beatles sucked. I feel almost the same way about "Remain in Light". To this day, the album is revered, for good reason. No quality record collection is complete without it, although the only track most people know from it is "Once In A Lifetime".That's a shame, because "Once" is my least favorite track on the record. Brian Eno really did the best work of his entire career producing "Remain In Light", and both the sounds and the songs exist outside any specific musical style, genre or period. It is truly a work of genius. This song, "Crosseyed & Painless", is both funky and out there at the same time, and features some tasty playing from Adrian Belew, Bernie Worrell, and Steve Scales. And there's some great break dancing in the Toni Basil directed video.

I picked up"The Name of this Band is the Talking Heads" last year sometime and it is great. Expanded versions of live songs, and more.Highly recommended !

I probably lost a few dates admitting I didn't care at all for Prince. And then once I said something careless about Portishead, Bjork, and Mozart. But the Beatles? Who doesn't love (or like) the Beatles? (Note: I hate the Beatles prior to Rubber Soul).
