Driving Late At Night

Driving is one of my favourite things to do. I put up up there as the fourth element fo the triumvirate of Sex, Drugs and Rock n' Roll.

There are a lot of songs that are great driving songs... depending upon the time of day and my state of mind, but the song that always makes me think of a long road trip where I have been up all night, just me and the road, is Screenwriter's Blues by Soul Coughing.

Imagine my delight to find that a video for it has finally been posted on youtube.

    Rawkkiddoh says man this song seems like it would be perfect for driving around in NY at around 3 am. I have not seen a lot of Soul Coughing posts on MOG, these guys are great.

    kristiana says man, I know - and not just driving, but driving + smoking + tunes + night = favorite place to be....but the guilt! The guilt! The romance of the open road is such an ingrained metaphor, at least here in N. America. How will we ever convince people to give up this bond they have with their car in order to stop the pollution? I know, what a downer. I'll go now....
