Pyro, "here" for earthman is New Zealand.

For some reason I read, "Darby Crash" when I read, "Darcy Clay." Was wondering what you were talking about. :P Anyway, interesting stuff.

Inrumford, things are good thanks, Autumn is starting. Just formed a band called "off the grid" and got some government funding to do a couple of music videos which I intend to show to all my mogger mates first. Also working on a "live at the mudhouse" thing where we will film and record local acts in my house and post up the progress in the "watching the baby grow" format. How goes it with you my friend?

dean: you can get governments grants to make music videos? That's pretty freakin' cool. Definitely looking forward to posts of your new band's songs, new videos, and shots of the mudhouse!

Music video? Government funding? NZ looks better all the time.

Incidentally, what kind of guitar is that in your picture? Can't really tell by the picture, but it looks like the headstock is flat like a Martin. I can only imagine a Martin costs an arm and a leg in NZ. Mine only cost a leg.

Scotch thats my lovely old Sigma Martin, one of the early models, it cost me nz$ 1050.00 in about 1987. Its resting these days and I now own a larrivee which even though its the cheapest model still cost nearly nz$ 2000.00 but when I was buying it I played some very expensive Taylors, Takamine's, and Cole Clarks and Matons from over your way and the larrivee was the one for me.A 28 martin would be worth upwards of $2000.00 although I see they do have some slightly cheaper lines these days, some of those Asian made lines are starting to sound pretty good these days.

Agreed. But I just can't bring myself to buy a Chinese guitar. Maybe Japanese or Korean, but I'm still pissed that they don't play fair on trade. China is a whole other ball o' wax.

Isn't Maton from Australia?

I've heard some very good things about Larrivee, have fun with it!
