I thought Id post you this guy, hes been writing these mighty ballads since I was about 18. The first one is not the original vid but its got some nice scenery from the south island down here in NZ.
The next one is another of my favorites, this guy has come out with anthem after anthem, many of them reflecting Kiwi isms hes one our greatest muso's in my opinion

While not a Kiwi, what are your thoughts on Tommy Emmanuel? I think he's one of the top living players.
