WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Fuck the harder way, we're doin' it the smarter way!

I never gave Mos Def a chance until I saw the episode of Chapelle's Show with his in-car destruction of "Close Edge". It was so awesome I went out and bought The New Danger as well as Talib Kweli's Beautiful Struggle, because I always associated the two and both were new releases. I was blown away with both. I used to go to work in Phoenix every morning listening to Def's "Ghetto Rock" or Kweli's "We Got the Beat". Later I got into Blackstar (listen to "Redefinition" if you want to be an instant fan) and I think I discovered Little Brother due to these guys too.

  7. thecandymanlives says for real??? thank you, god! mos def is my king, and talib is his trusty sidekick. if you ever listen to any album by either of them, let it be talib's "reflection eternal," one of the greatest rap albums of all time.
