It's a Zombiecentric Sort of Day

Posted over 3 years ago

1st.) Here we have "Zombies" by The King Khan & BBQ Show (better known from The Shrines and Les Sexareenos, respectively). "What's for Dinner" is a bit all over the place as an album, but if you like either guy's work already, you'll enjoy it. From reminding me of The Ramones here to Doo-Wop torch songs, it covers a hell of a lot of ground musically, but always having a lot of fun and taking things just seriously enough to do it all well.

On other, tangenital notes:

2nd.) Return of the Vancouver Zombie Walk. If you're sadly Candian or just find yourself thereabouts August 16th, you owe it to yourself to go. If you don't take part, at least observe the wackiness. I know a few people who've taken part in the past and it is apparentyl all sorts of a good time. Info is here, I'm told: http://www.new.facebook.com/event.php?eid=10582758355

Thirdly.) Only vaguely zombie related, but fuck it. I've just been told that pretty much the only new show I've seen lately that wasn't garbage and one of maybe 5 I bother to watch is in trouble of cancellation. So if you don't already, give watching "The Middleman" a chance. Despite being on ABC Family on Monday (Not exactly a prime channel or timeslot) it is supremely funny and consistently awesome. If you (like me) grew up with cheesy sci-fi, B horror movies, and comic books it will make you laugh your ass off. If not, you're still liable to get kick out of it. Times like this I wish I had a Nielson box. For an idea of the tone of the show:
