OK, so This Wasn't Bought Because of the Album Art....

The Dirtbombs have a new album. I'm probably much more excited about this than you, but that only proves that I am in fact a better human being than you are. It's called "We Have You Surrounded" and it's about as serious as they're ever likely to get. Basically, Mick Collins has gone on an apocalypse kick. But it's still damn good. "Indivisible" and "Wreck My Flow" are as instantly listenable as anything that was on "Ultraglide in Black", "Race to the Bottom" is all about the avant-noiserock, and they somehow got Alan fucking Moore to help write on of the songs ("Leopardman at the C&A")It's certainly not for everyone, but it's damn sure for me. If you don't like it, it's ok. I'll only think slightly less of you as a person.

  2. dshs70 says Yeah, it definitely stuck out in a selection otherwise based on album art, but was still just as good as either of the other albums from the point of view of being, you know, good music.
