This Is What It Sounds Like Inside My Head
JG Thirlwell, AKA Jim Foetus, AKA Clint Ruin, etc. He's been doing weird, cool music for longer than I've been alive, doing everything from playing with Nick Cave and Lydia Lunch to doing DJ sets these days. You can tell how absurdly talented he is by the fact that the CD of his soundtrack work for The Venture Bros. (One of the better, funnier things on TV) that I just got with my Blu-Ray copy of the 3rd Season is better than most CDs I buy.
It's every super-spy, retro-future, action-adventure, backgroun music piece you ever heard combined with brilliant electronic music into something that works perfectly on the show and, I'm now realising, stands up incredibly well on its own. I'm not joking when I say that this is the sort of stuff thats secretly playing inside my head as I go about my day.
Listen, enjoy, maybe look up some of Thirlwell's other work, and consider watching the show that spawned this if you haven't yet.

That sounded great. Cheers for the introduction, I'm a sucker for this kind of music.
I'll be the 0s if you'll be the 7.
I really can't say enough good things about this album. I know it's out on vinyl and I'm fairly certain it's being seperately released as a CD soon, if it hasn't already been.
It's enough to win my heart that it has a track called "Assclamp!", but that it's actually the sort of thing I'd be thrilled to hear in a DJ set pushes it over the edge. It's sort of weird that I see this stuff getting played regularly in my car.
Very cool. Reminds me of Shawn Lee's Incredible Ping Pong Orchestra. Love Venture Bros. Nice pick. It didn't occur to me that there was a soundtrack to this show but out of context it's very smooth.
