I'm in love with this new band - Violens.

I've only heard four of their songs (and only really paid attention to the three of them that are on their "V" EP). But I'm convinced that this band is amazing and would be absolutely ridiculous live. They have a way of melding mellow psychedelia with strangely vibrant touches. In "Violent Sensation Descends," there are these violent organs spattered in between the droning quality of the rest of the song. I think of a devil with pitchfork prancing through the otherwise peaceful field of flowers whenever I hear it. It's just original enough that it should earn them attention in the indie world.

I'll be happy to hear it when they are found. And when they come to visit me in Ohio, and serenade me with their majestic masterpieces.
