I'm just now getting into Eric Burdon. This is a fantastic cover. The song itself is always great, but something about his voice that's really perfect and so sexy.
As far as I can tell, this is from an episode of Ready steady GO that Otis Redding hosted.

It is a fantastic cover. Burdon rises to the occasion quite well, but a big part of the credit goes to the band, which might even include many of those who played on Sam & Dave's hit version, assuming they were allowed to tour with fellow Stax-mate Redding, who, visibly out of breath from presumably just finishing his song, brought them. drowzybaker, an astute job of unearthing here.
