I've been listening to this album a lot lately. It's really good, and Slug is an excellent story teller.

  1. Parker catalano says This could easily be one of my favorite rap records. I love his ability to illustrate an event in your mind. His storytelling ability is only rivalled by Michael Franti in my opinion. Ant's beats on this album are sick, as well as on Godlovesugly, but Slug is definitely much more developed in this album lyrically. Peace.

  2. richiesteelo says I remember some years ago listening to the old Stretch & Bobbito underground radio show on WKCR in nyc and hearing "Woman with the Tattoed Hands" for the first time and being blown away and just thinking "who the fuck is this?" I love that beat, it's just so beautiful, I'm not sure of the sample but it was also used quite well on Proof of D12's last solo album (RIP). I worked on Atmosphere's music video for "National Disgrace" off Seven's Travels and Slug is really cool guy, and his voice makes perfect sense after seeing how many cigarettes the guy smokes. I'm happy to see how much they've flourished in the underground scene, it's artists like these, who have substance, that keep my hope alive for the future of the genre I love so dearly.
