Asheru and Blue Black

Posted almost 6 years ago
Got this album a couple years ago, and I really like it. I heard about them from a friend in Seattle, yet, I've heard these are some good ol' boys from Charlottesville, VA. Some really good beats, nice and jazzy and good lyrics to go over top. Check it out.

  1. Whoohaha says Love the photo! I have to admit that it is better then mine. Mostly because you actually use your face where I only have a shot of my friend’s belly. But who am I to judge these types of things. What the belly wants, the belly gets, right? Anywho, I’ve got to agree with you that this IS a good album. It has that hip-hop/jazz type of sound that I am constantly searching for. Or put another way, it has that old school sense of jazz melody with new hip-hop beats (kind of like the way Digable Planets always did it). If I remember correctly you were the one who introduced me to this here cd. And for some bizarre reason it has been popping up on my random shuffle lately. I guess I just mean to say that it was good timing that you started to write about it, because I was contemplating it myself.

  2. richiesteelo says Asheru did the theme song to the Boondocks and other tracks from the show as well if I'm not mistaken.
