Deadman Should Listen to Dylan a Little Closer

Posted about 1 year ago

It's all over and I am so happy to hear from the right when all they can muster is a "he is already breaking campaign promises" or "nothing has changed" argument to qualm their rising discontent over the ass-kicking that was handed to them by an inexperienced, yet extremely capable (How do I know this? I feel it...just like I felt the elitism of George Bush, both of them, Jr was just better at being a fool, which allowed him to relate to the mouth-breathing followers he established here[OH] anyway) young Democrat who is, dare we say, black...or mixed or whatever...I don't care if he is Muslim...would not mean a thing to me...run a country that promotes peace and diplomacy, work on the economy...no Democrat expects miracles...but Dylan says it best for Republicans for now....It's All Over Baby Blue. By the way, my fiance is a black Jew, who did not know if she wanted to vote for Obama initially for all of the haters of beautiful color out there....

Yeah I a commenting on my own post, but blame Deadman, he got me all fired up...I find it amusing that any Republican could wonder why McCain was trampled upon by the agile feet of their adversaries.  It is refreshing to see that a Democrat was able to win this election through inspiring the masses while a Republican lost badly because of a failed attempt to scare the masses.

Drifter, you should take comfort in deadman's post, as it posits something that was completely absent from the bulk of the Bush presidency:  dissent.  It wasn't until it became politically expedient that you saw people becoming former supporters of Bush.  For the bulk of the last eight years we have seen people avow blind allegiance to the Bush administration in the face of the abject rejection of the "Uniter" platform that they voted for.  The fact that the very people who supported Obama are willing to criticize the man is a very good sign for the future of the United States.

Then again, I'm pretty drunk right now.

Still, deadman is one of the brighter bulbs shining on this mogosphere of ours, and there is plenty of room for us all to disagree, so be sure to not let any political incompatibilities get in the way of appreciating him for the treasure that he is.

I am simply offering an opinion.  I think it is absolutely nuts for anyone to judge Obama's policy, plans, or intentions at this point.  It is not even January.  The people who claim to have supported Obama, but are now unhappy with their decision, obviously did not think through their choice clearly - or chose Obama for the wrong reasons. As for the people who voted for Bush that came towards the left this election; well what can you say? Republicans could only sustain a strategy of initiating fear in their own nation through brilliant marketing and smear campaigns for so long....the sand in the Republican hourglass has finally succumbed to gravity.

There is no mystery.....The republicans ran a wishy-washy candidate.  He most certainly did not capture the the imagination of conservatives.

I am very pleased with Obama's cabinet choices & foreign policy pronouncements....they are  continuations of Bush's policies.  You know,  the ones the Good Sen insisted were unAmerican & wouls be halted immediately.

I never "blindly defended Bush".  I am convinced his foreign policy choices,, were absolutely correct, even if his methods were slipshod.  I have said all along that Bush's domestic agend was a fiasco (in his second term)

Well maybe Uncle Georgie will invite you over to his new place to trade baseball cards and talk about war-mongering and imperialism; he should have plenty of time on his hands soon....
