Anyone that hasn't heard Ted Hawkins whaling over acoustic guitar simply hasn't lived a full life. He has such eloquence in his rudimentary style, makes me feel like there is still something beautiful about the simple melodies in life. Sadly, he died @ the age of 58 back in 1985...right at the pinnacle of his career. The best way I can think of to honor some of musics fallen heroes is to listen and study their work. His words, though rough and kinda childish at times, drive me to hug my wife and appreciate my kids just a bit more every time i hear them.Anyone with similar stories of another artist, I'd love to hear about them.Peace,DrewP.S.
