A kid's album? Are you sure????

Well, I bought this album for my kid. He's only 4, but he loves his tunes - every night he demands Brian Eno or David Sylvian for his sleepy-time tunes. And I'm disgusted. It's far too good to be an album just for little people. It's even got some of my favourite artists on it, Alan Sparhawk of Low, for instance and also Red House Painters/Sun Kil Moon genius Mark Kozelek. As it turns out, Kozelek has written a song for the album about two annoying cats called Leo and Luna. It's possibly the prettiest thing he's ever done.I highly recommend getting hold of a copy of this album, Sparhawk's tune, Be Nice To People With Lice is hilarious, Sufjan Stevens' take on the old classic, The Friendly Beasts is just beautiful, Broken Social Scene do a lovely version of Puff The Magic Dragon and The Great Lake Swimmers turn up with the title track, which is absolutely brilliant and gets the whole family jigging around like loonies.
