David Sylvian is a genius.Absolutely, totally a genius.From the early days of Japan - glam rock, a bit punk, screaming vocals and guitar solos, to the early 80's stylish, unique, astonishing musicianship.From the vaguely sinister, but dreamy early solo albums to the later, more jazzy work.His latest offerings are the frightening, intensely personal Blemish to the newest NIne Horses collaboration with Steve Jansen and Burnt Friedman (best album of 2005).Then of course there's the little side projects, like his work with Sakamoto and his collaboration with Blonde Redhead.If I had nothing else in my collection other than Sylvian, I'd be happy.
