More Blossom Dearie stuff

This is a copy of the (very good) I thought New York Times obit on Ms. Dearie. My dad turned me on to her; I was lucky enough to see her on Waverly Place in the Village and last year, my daughter saw her perform midtown. What a lovely, quiet, unpretentiously talented soul.
All the points about YouTube are no doubt well-taken; I can see why artists would hate it; on the other hand, information wants to be free. I'm not in the Electronic Frontier Foundation or Rick Rubin (let alone Lars Ulrich, thank god) so don't know enough about it to make an informed judgemnt. I just know I love her work and feel lucky I can find some of it online, as well as elsewhere.
