ran into an old buddy of mine this sunday at a dallas/pats bbq. anywho, this guy phil was an average skate punk back in the day. his parents had cash so he always had the bestest boards, trucks, wheels, kicks,etc. about two years into highschool he became a nazi. nevermind that his parents are jewish. i never took his "conversion" seriously even when he beat up a couple of common friends. i always just shrugged my shoulders and figured it was a phase. he ends up taking off at 17 and heads to parts unknown. some said prison, some said militia training (this was the early nineties). so after ten years i run into him and he's all tatted up and down with those stupid wooden looking round blocks shoved into his earlobes. what happened to you i asked. got mixed up with some crazies sold some meth and guns. spent some time in jail, got out and was a roadie for some white power band. got married to a nazi girl and had a nazi kid. living the perfect dream (im being sarcastic). when it all went to hell. his wife was having an affair with his best aryan buddy, the kid wasn't his, and then his dad died in 2000. well apparently the turmoil in his life caused him to really look at where he was. he came back home, got his tats covered up and is now running the family business (a used clothing store company that exports shit to mexico and 3rd world countries). first thing he told me when he saw me was hey man im sorry for being such an asshole. funny thing is he was never an asshole with me. anyway its good to have him back. phil turned me on to some good shit back in the day. bad manners was one of them.
