finding "the song"

Posted about 5 years ago
ooh, i'm so happy to post today, mog looks radical! i'm excited to see some of my sous chef design assistance live on the site. hooray!well, the reason why i am writing is because i am in the thick of planning a wedding. i'm trying to decide what to do about music selections...kool and the gang and the romantics are banned from the list. get out. music is important to me so i'm trying to decide if:- would it be better to have miss lori carsillo play that sings ella/cole porter standards stuff or opt for something a little bit more playful like project pimento because who wants to go to sleep? for some time i did want a ska band like ocean 11 but i'm just not sure anymore.- dj or ipod playlist? is having just an ipod going too auto pilot?- what is the song of all songs? truthfully, this is the hardest. i think of some damn goofy songs when i think of my beau - so goofy that they almost seem like they're only for me on the special playlist in my head. we've been joking about having "superfreak" by rick james. my friend joe told me his song at his wedding was "turbo lover" by judas priest.if i had married my 8th grade boyfriend i probably would have danced to "somebody" by depeche mode or something by prince or the damned so i'm pretty glad that i waited. the dark horse contender right now literally is "i will follow you into the dark" by death cab for cutie. is it too too dark? does it have to be bouncy and light? i found the boy so now i need to find the song. i need ideas, people. i can't focus so please help a girl out.
